E911 - What is it?

E911 is a telecommunication feature designed to improve emergency response services by automatically providing crucial location information to emergency dispatchers when a 911 call is made. When signing up for VoIP services, we complete a form for your company with your E911 information based on the location of your services.

Key things to remember with E911:

It cannot track your location when you are using either Boomea or NimbusPhone on your PC or phone.

If you move your desk phone to a new location, the E911 information won't be correct without contacting us to update the information

Requirements

It is required to at least have one E911 location set up on a VoIP account before we can activate it. This is a vital step to begin your VoIP services. Please check your junk mail if you haven't received it after activating your account.

Below is our Terms & Conditions which lay out the requirements, and limits of E911 with our VoIP services.

Setting up E911

*Services cannot begin until E911 verification has been completed

Once you have requested your services to begin, you should get an email that looks like the above from [email protected]. Please check your junk if you don't see it.
Click the link to activate the E911 with the address details.

For multiple E911 locations you will receive multiple emails, one for each location verification.
